Duran Duran were one of the most successful bands of the 1980s. With a distinctive style and sound more recognisable and individual than many new romantic groups, they became renowned for their stylish music videos.

Classic tunes such as Girls on Film, Wild Boys, Hungry like the Wolf, Rio and Save a Prayer were all accompanied by iconic videos, making the band internationally famous.

After recording the soundtrack for the James Bond film A View to a Kill, the band gradually drifted apart as members concentrated on other projects.

In 2001 Duran Duran reformed and in 2004 they completed their hugely successful Astronaut Arena Tour, which saw the band perform to sold out crowds for 17 nights, including a five-night residency at London's Wembley Arena.

In 2011, after seven years of absence from live performances, Duran Duran announced they will return to their home market for a series of highly anticipated concerts in May. The shows mark the band's first European performances in support of their critically acclaimed, new album 'All You Need Is Now' (produced by Mark Ronson), and the start of a world tour that will last well into 2012.
